LEARN ABOUT BASIC NURSE ASSISTANT TRAINING
AT OAKTON'S SPRING INFORMATION SESSIONS

Four information sessions are scheduled this spring for the Basic Nurse Assistant Training (BNAT) Program offered by Oakton's Alliance for Lifelong Learning. The 11-week, non-credit program can prepare individuals to function at the beginning nursing-assistant level and to meet Illinois Department of Health requirements for certification. Certified nurse assistants (CAN) are qualified to work in nursing homes, hospitals and home health agencies.

Those interested in applying for the next class session, which begins August 27, must attend one of four informational sessions scheduled for this spring. Dates and times are as follows: 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28; Friday, March 22; Thursday, April 4; and Friday, April 5. All sessions will be held in Room A120 at the Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling (847) 635-1414 or (847) 635-1498. Applicants should bring their Social Security cards and proof of existing health insurance coverage to the information session.
