Oakton Serves 'Broadway Brunch'
Bring your appetite for food and popular show tunes to "Broadway Brunch," 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
The afternoon begins with a buffet-style brunch, followed by a selection of memorable songs from Broadway plays, including "Gypsy," Give My Regards to Broadway," "Kiss Me Kate," and "The King and I," performed by vocalist Eileen Berman and accompanist John Cina.
Berman is an Oakton adjunct music faculty member who has appeared with the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, Chicago Chamber Orchestra, Chicago Opera Theater, and Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra. Cina, Berman's accompanist for more than two decades, is the former director of the Lane Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets are $25, including the brunch buffet. Reservations are required by Nov. 8. For more information or to reserve tickets, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900.
