Holiday Performance Comes to Oakton
The Child's Play Touring Theatre brings its production of The Christmas That Almost Wasn't to Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines. Two performances will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at noon and 2 p.m.
This presentation offers a behind-the-scenes look at the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Written by children, these Christmas catastrophes are brought to life by Child's Play Touring Theatre, a nationally recognized organization that promotes the benefits of reading and writing to elementary school students.
The show is recommended for all ages.
Tickets are $7 for general admission; $5 for children under $12; and $4 for groups of 15 or more. The program is partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
