about initiatives to fight global warming by attending a free televised
lecture at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, at Oakton Community College,
7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.
"Chill
Out: Campus Solutions to Global Warming," is a live, interactive
broadcast featuring practical solutions to global warming currently
being implemented by higher education institutes across the country.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in a
Q-and-A with conservation professionals.
Presented
by Oakton's Green College Committee, Oakton is one of more than 75
colleges across the country hosting the info session, a production
of the National Wildlife Federation. The event is sponsored by ClimateCounts,
Stonyfield Farm, the National Association of Campus Activities, Earth
Day Network, and Campus Climate Challenge.
