Travel China's 'Silk Road' with Oakton
Travel the famed Silk Road of China on a study tour sponsored by Oakton Community College. The next scheduled trip departs July 29, 2008.
Start in Beijing and travel the world's oldest international highway, once traveled by Marco Polo, and learn about the religious art, belief systems, and specialized goods of India, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Next, visit the city of Xi'an and meet with Chinese students at a local university. Finally, experience the excitement of the bustling markets of Urumqi.
