See 'Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow' at Oakton
Androids and agoraphobia fuel the Performing Arts at Oakton presentation of The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, Nov. 29 - Dec. 2, and Dec. 7 - 9, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow focuses on the life of a young woman, afraid to leave her own bedroom, where she works as a defense subcontractor for the U.S. military. When Jenny becomes interested in finding her Chinese birth mother, she uses her technological genius to create a new form of human contact.
Performances of The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow are 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6; 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7; 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 and 8; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 and 9.
Tickets are $10; $8 for students and seniors; and $6 for groups of 15 or more.
A $5 preview performance will be staged at 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29 and a post-show discussion will be held after the performance on Sunday, Dec. 9.
