Explore
the rich culture and natural treasures of Ecuador through a travel/study
program sponsored by Oakton Community College. The last trip in 2007
departs Sunday, Oct. 14.
Begin
in the 450-year-old capital city of Quito and experience Jacchiqua,
the Ecuadorian folklore ballet. Visit Oswaldo Guayasamin's gallery
of contemporary paintings, and take a day trip to Calderon, home of
native bread dolls. Enjoy a seven-day Galapagos Islands cruise that
includes outdoor adventure at the Charles Darwin Research Station
and Pinnacle Rock.
Participants
for this physically demanding trip should be in good health. An optional
weeklong extension to Peru's Machu Picchu is offered at an additional
cost.
