Explore Legacy of the Pharaohs on Oakton Trip

Dig into the legacy of Egyptian pharaohs on a study/travel tour offered by Oakton Community College. In 2005, tours will depart on June 19, Oct. 9, and Nov. 6.

Begin in Cairo with a lecture on the pharaohs of Egypt while walking amidst the famous pyramids and observe the mysterious guardian, the Sphinx. A trip across the Nile, to the west bank of Luxor, will take you to the Necropolis of Thebes, the burial ground of the great pharaohs. Visits to Luxor Museum and the Temple of Denderah also are planned.

An optional extension to Jordan is available at an additional cost. This adventure includes excursions to ancient ruins.
