History
of the Islamic Middle East in Modern Times (HIS 226-006)
examines historical developments in the Middle East since the end
of the 19th century. Course meets Tuesdays, 12:30 - 3:20 p.m., at
Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
Topics
in Literature: Asian American Literature (EGL 290-001) explores
the work of writers from India, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and China.
Class meets Tuesdays, 1 - 3:50 p.m., at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus,
7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie.
Topics
in Humanities: Opera as Dramatic Art (HUM 290-001) is a thorough
look at classic operas, including works by Mozart, Donizetti, Wagner,
Verdi, Bizet, and Puccini. Course meets Fridays, 9 - 11:50 a.m., at
the Ray Hartstein Campus in Skokie.

Oakton's
