Explore Europe on Oakton Tour
Experience the holiday spirit in four European countries during a study/travel tour sponsored by Oakton Community College. Tour departs Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Begin in Munich, the capital of Bavaria, and then take a ride through the charming town of Oberammergau while enjoying Alpine vistas. View the most famous castle in Bavaria, Neuschwanstein, with its beautiful towers and pinnacles. Journey to the picturesque valleys in the heart of the Black Forest and head to the provincial capital city of Strasbourg, France, to witness the ages-old influence of Roman, French, German, and Alsatian cultures. In Bern, enjoy a tour of the Swiss Parliament and visit the famous Bear Pit.
Throughout the journey, participants will experience breathtaking scenery, enjoy guided tours, and have time to shop for homemade items at European Christmas markets in Austria, Germany, France, and Switzerland.
