Travel to Europe on Oakton Tour

Explore the history, architecture, and artistic beauty of central Europe on a two-week travel/study tour sponsored by Oakton Community College. Two tours are scheduled for 2003: July 16 - 31 and Sept. 24 - Oct. 9.

The trip begins in Berlin with visits to the State Opera House and Humboldt University. Participants then travel to Prague, to view the city's detailed architecture and historic beauty. Other stops along the way include Wieliczka, to see caverns and cathedrals carved out of salt; Slovakia, to visit the small medieval town of Banska Bystrica; and Hungry, to experience the beautiful countryside of Danube Bend.

Throughout the trip, sample native dishes at specially arranged meals and learn about the everyday lives and customs of the local people. For more information, including complete itineraries and prices, call Bea Cornelissen at 847-635-1812.
