Parents
and students seeking college financial aid for the 2004-2005 academic
year are invited to a free "FAFSA Completion Day" workshop on Tuesday,
Feb. 24, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road. This community
service program is free and open to the public.
Financial
aid experts from Northwestern University, Loyola University Chicago,
and Oakton will assist families in completing the 2004-2005 Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required
for any federal or state financial assistance.
Registration
begins at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., participants may attend identical programs
in English, Spanish, and Polish. Both students and parents should
come with the records and personal data needed to complete the form,
including copies of 2003 income tax forms and bank statements; Social
Security cards; and driver's license and immigration cards, if applicable.
The program
is free and open to the public. Free parking in Lot D. For more information,

a.m. and 5 p.m.
This
event is part of Financial Aid Admission Awareness Month, sponsored
by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC),
Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC), and Illinois Association
of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
