Oakton Names New Baseball Coach

Bill Fratto is the new head baseball coach at Oakton Community College, athletic director Dave Cole has announced.

For the past 16 years, Fratto has been an assistant coach for the Raiders serving under head coaches Rich Symonds and Mike Pinto.

"I learned a great deal while working for both coaches," said Fratto, who also played for Oakton under Symonds in 1980 and 1981. "Now that I've had the torch passed to me I look forward to maintaining the Raiders' winning tradition."

Fratto graduated in 1983 from the University of Georgia where he was a successful pitcher. Professionally he worked as the Chicago Cubs' bullpen catcher from 1985 to 1987.

Fratto lives in Wheeling with his wife Debbie. They have two children, Ashley and Nick. For more information, contact Coach Fratto at 847-635-1753.
