Cold weather means hot music as Oakton Community College presents three entertaining musical performances in December. All shows take place at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Admission and parking are free.

Warm up to sizzling standards from the award-winning Oakton Community College Jazz Band during "Jazz Invasion" at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 in the TenHoeve Center. The night will be filled with performances by student combos.

Enjoy performances by the Oakton Guitar Ensemble, as well as student soloists and groups, during "Clearly Classical II" at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, in the Koehnline Gallery.

"The Holidaze" is the year's final musical performance. The Oakton Community College Choir performs classical, contemporary, and original compositions at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, in the TenHoeve Center.
