Emerald City Brings 'Peachy' Production to Oakton

Emerald City Theatre Company brings its production of James and the Giant Peach to Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines for two performances Saturday, Sept. 15, at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Based on Roald Dahl's classic children's story, the play follows James Trotter, "the saddest and loneliest boy you can find," on a journey across the sea, accompanied by some "interesting" friends. The show is recommended for K - 6 students.

Tickets are $7 for general admission; $5 for children under 12; and $4 for groups of 15 or more. The program is partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.

To reserve tickets, call the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900.
