Are you tired of paying people to make your basic household repairs? Learn how to solve home improvement problems yourself with Oakton's Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) program.Intro to Home Plumbing (TEC B69-01, Touch-Tone 01926) combines lecture with demonstration to teach the basics of bathroom repair, from leaky faucets to broken water heaters. The class is Thursday, Oct. 10, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Maine East High School, 2601 Dempster Street, Park Ridge. The course fee is $19.
Kitchen Remodeling (TEC E88-01, Touch-Tone 02458) teaches the step-by-step process to completely redesign your kitchen. The class is Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton Street, Skokie. The course fee is $19.
Bathroom Remodeling (TEC E89-01, Touch-Tone 02457) uncovers the secrets to remodeling your bathroom from start to finish. The class is Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Niles West High School, 2701 Oakton Street, Skokie. The course fee is $19.
Students who have registered for Oakton or ALL classes within the last five years and have a Social Security number on file may register by using the Touch-Tone system at (847) 635-1616 or by fax at (847) 635-1448. Touch-Tone registration require payment using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).
