Enjoy
the dramatic contrasts of Iceland on an eight-day study/travel tour
offered by the Annuitants Association at Oakton Community College.
Led by Frank Fonsino, a retired professor of history, this tour departs
on Sept. 4.
Visit
the "Golden Circle," which includes Iceland's most renowned natural
scenic wonders. Swim in the naturally warm waters of the famous Blue
Lagoon, a geothermal pool located in the middle of a large lava field.
Skaftafell National Park offers a view from the country's highest
peak. Travel by boat to see graceful, floating icebergs, which serve
as an introduction to Iceland's dramatic glaciers. Explore countless
art galleries and museums in the capital city of Reykjavik, or take
an optional whale-watching excursion.
