EXPERIENCE "LA DOLCE VITA" ON OAKTON TOUR OF ITALY

Explore the natural, artistic, and historical wonders of Italy during a two-week journey sponsored by Oakton Community College's Travel/Study program. Three trips are scheduled for this year: April 20 - May 4; July 13 - 27; and October 26 - November 9.

Join us for an unforgettable journey to the storied Italian cities of Milan, Verona, Venice, Florence and Rome, and to the beautiful villages of Siena and San Gimignano in the Tuscan countryside. Along the way, you'll see some of the world's most famous artistic masterpieces, such as da Vinci's Last Supper, Michaelangelo's statue of David, and the Sistine Chapel, which houses works by Botticelli, Signorelli, Michaelangelo, and Perugino.

Architectural aficionados won't be disappointed either. You'll visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Colosseum in Rome, the canals of Venice, and the countless cathedrals that give testament of the enduring strength and influence of Romanesque architecture.

Throughout your adventure, you'll sample native dishes at specially arranged meals. A visit to a private home will give you a glimpse into the everyday lives and customs of the people.
