Six northern Illinois community colleges will take part in a faculty job fair hosted by Oakton Community College from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7. The job fair will be held in the TenHoeve Center (Room 1610) on Oakton's Des Plaines campus.

Among the schools recruiting at the fair are Oakton, City Colleges of Chicago, College of DuPage, College of Lake County, Elgin Community College and Illinois Valley Community College.

A variety of full-time and part-time faculty positions are available in automotive technology, computer information systems (CIS), English as a second language (ESL), humanities, manufacturing, nursing, student development, and many other disciplines. A list of job openings by institution is available on the Web at www.oakton.edu/jobfair.

Participants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their current resume. Candidates who are unable to attend also may submit their resume via mail, fax at 847-635-1764, ATTN: Job Fair, or by visiting Oakton's Web site. Questions also may be sent via e-mail to jobfair@oakton.edu.

Co-sponsoring groups include the Illinois Committee on Black Concerns in Higher Education, Illinois Latino Council of Higher Education, Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, National Association for Asian American Professionals and National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
