Get into the spirit of the season as the Oakton Kids' Club presents Chris Fascione's "Christmas and Hanukkah Joy" at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, in the TenHoeve Center (Room 1608) on the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.Chris Fascione, a nationally known storyteller and actor, combines storytelling, mime, juggling, and comedy to create a fun-filled, imaginative production that brings the holiday spirit to life. Audience participation adds to the fun of the performance.
Tickets are $4 for general admission, $3 for Oakton students and children ages 3 - 12, and may be purchased at the door or by calling the Oakton Box Office at 847-635-1900. There is no charge for children age 2 and under.
The 2002 - 2003 Kids' Club family program series continues with "Kucha, Your Favorite Storyteller," a rhythmic presentation of folktales, fables, and proverbs, on Feb. 9 and Susan L. Stone's "Worldwide Lore," a day of tales about tricky leprechauns, sly foxes, evil fairies, and matza balls, on March 2.
