Oakton Library Spotlights 'Devil in the White City'

Oakton Community College celebrates National Library Week (April 18-24) with a program on Erik Larson's acclaimed novel, The Devil in the White City. The public is invited to attend a discussion about Larson's best-seller at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 22, on the lower level of the library at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.

The 75-minute discussion will be led by James Boley, AIA, who teaches architecture and humanities at Oakton. Participants may enter to win a free copy of Larson's book, a murder mystery set in Chicago against the backdrop of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition.

This program is free and open to the public; groups of 10 or more are asked to register by calling the Library's Reference Desk at 847-635-1644.
