Oakton Presents 'The Vagina Monologues'
Three Performances Benefit V-Day 2003 College Campaign

Performing Arts at Oakton joins the fight to end violence against women and girls with three special performances of Eve Ensler's acclaimed "The Vagina Monologues," Thursday, Feb. 13, through Saturday, Feb. 15, in the Footlik Theater at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.

Ensler, founder of V-Day, a global movement to stop violence against women and girls, uses performances of her Obie Award-winning play to raise funds for organizations working to stop this violence. Based on interviews with a diverse group of women, the show gives a voice to their lusty, outrageous, brave, and thoroughly human stories.

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Feb. 13, 14, and 15. Tickets at $15 for general admission can be purchased by calling the Oakton Community College Box Office at 847-635-1900. All proceeds from these performances go to combat violence toward women.
