Open auditions for Oakton Community College's production of "The Vagina Monologues" are scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and Wednesday, Dec. 11, in the Footlik Theater at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road."The Vagina Monologues" has an all-female cast. Parts are available for women of all ages and types; women of color are particularly encouraged to audition. Actors will be required to do cold readings from the script. Rehearsals for the show begin Jan. 13, 2003.
Performances are scheduled Feb. 13, 14, and 15 in conjunction with Oakton's participation in the V-DAY 2003 College Campaign to combat violence against women and girls. For more information, call Kathleen Carot, assistant professor of speech and theater, at (847) 376-7061.
