Oakton Gives the Gift of Music in December
Oakton Community College hosts three joyful musical performances in December. These concerts are scheduled at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. Admission and parking are free.
Enjoy classical, contemporary, and original compositions performed by the Oakton Community College Choir at "Choral Concert," 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Koehnline Museum of Art.
"Jazz Invasion," 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, in the Footlik Theater, explores the "art of cool" by student combos and special guests. Warm up to some sizzling standards performed by the award-winning Oakton Community College Jazz Band.
Finally, the Oakton Guitar Ensemble, directed by Michael Adamczyk, presents student soloists and groups at "Clearly Classical," 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Footlik Theater.
