Tennessee
Williams' drama, "Not About Nightingales," will be presented
by the Performing Arts at Oakton, Oct. 20 - 23 and Oct. 28 -30, at
Oakton's Footlik Theater, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.
One
of Williams' earliest works, "Not About Nightingales" was inspired
by the true story of a 1938 Philadelphia prison riot in which four
inmates were killed. The play reflects the plight of Depression-era
outcasts in America, as well as Williams' passion for social justice.
