Learn the "medium of the masters" this spring when you enroll in one of the following non- credit oil painting courses through Oakton's Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) program.Studio I (ART B15 Touch-Tone 077625) introduces you to the basics of working in oils and acrylics. Some basic drawing experience is suggested. Bring pencil and sketch book to first class. Course meets from 7 - 10 p.m. for six Mondays, beginning February 11, at Maine West High School, 1755 S. Wolf Rd., Des Plaines. Course fee is $110.
Studio II (ART B16 Touch-Tone 07274) is for more experienced artists to help each other compare techniques and overcome weaknesses. Bring any material you have to first class. This class shares the same time and space with the Studio I class. Course is $110.
Painting with Oil and Acrylics I (ART C35 Touch-Tone 08311) explores the basics of creating artwork in this medium. Bring sketchpad and #2B pencils to first class. Some drawing experience suggested. Class meets from 7 - 9:30 p.m. for seven Thursdays, beginning February 7, at Niles West High School, 5701 Oakton St., Skokie. Course fee is $110.
Painting with Oil and Acrylics II (ART C36 Touch-Tone 08314) will increase your skill and ability to create with oils and acrylics. Bring sketchpad and #2b pencils to first class. This class meets 7 - 9:30 p.m. for seven Thursdays, beginning April 18, at Niles West High School.
Those who have registered for ALL classes within the last five years, or for a credit course in the last three years, may register by using the Touch-Tone system at (847) 635-1616, or by fax at (847) 635-1448.
