Learn at your own pace in the comfort of your home by enrolling in an online class offered by Oakton's Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL) program.Students must have an e-mail address, Internet access and either Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer Web browsers to participate. Online classes are six weeks in length, with two class lessons posted each week. Three sections of each course are scheduled this semester, with starting dates of Feb. 13, March 13 and April 10.
ALL has expanded this popular program to more than 50 classes in subject areas such as accounting, business and finance, communication, project management, supervision and computers. A sample of courses offered include Marketing Your Business or Organization on the Internet (BUB A32), Personal Financial Planning (FIN E01), A To Z Grant Writing (BUB E10), Introduction to Visual Basic (DPR A29), PhotoShop Basics (DPR A34), Getting Organized Using Microsoft Outlook (DPR A45), Creating Web Pages (DPR A78), Digital Photography (ART C04), Trace Your Family History - Geneology (HIS E70), and Conflict Resolution (BUB A35). Those who have registered for ALL classes within the last five years, or for a credit course in the last three years, may register by using the Touch-Tone system at (847) 635-1616, or by fax at (847) 635-1448. Both methods require payment using a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover).
