Open Call for 'Resident Alien' at Oakton Community College


Open auditions for Oakton Community College's production of "Resident Alien" are scheduled at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, and Wednesday, Oct. 23, in Studio One at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.

Stuart Spencer's intergalactic comedy, "Resident Alien," follows the experiences of an alien who arrives in a small Wisconsin town and delivers much-needed humanity and comic relief to the lives of its residents. The play features a cast of four men, one woman, and an adolescent boy. Auditions will consist of improvisation and cold readings. A prepared monologue is not necessary, but allowed.

"Residents Alien" will be presented at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6 and 13; 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 and 14; and 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8 and 15. For more information, call Karol Verson at 847-635-2185.
