Spend
a week in the tropical island of Puerto Rico sharpening your photographic
or Spanish speaking skills by enrolling in a unique Oakton Community
College field study, scheduled July 28 - Aug. 5.
Exploring
Puerto Rico (ART 230, SPN 105) is a travel and study adventure
that offers photography students the opportunity for extended photographic
documentation, and modern language students the chance to increase
their language confidence by interacting with native Spanish speakers.
Upon return to campus, photography students will produce a distinct
body of work consisting of traditional or digital photographic prints.
The
white sands of Luquillo Beach, the Caribbean national forest of El
Yunque, and historic Old San Juan are just some of the exotic locations
that students may visit during their journey to Puerto Rico.
