Oakton Hosts Student Playwriting Festival March 13-14

Play On, a collection of original one-act plays by Oakton Community College students, will be staged at 7 p.m., Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14, at Oakton’s Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.

Original works to be performed include “Legacy,” by Arif Choudhury of Northbrook; “Ice Cream and Linen,” by Ronald Denham of Park Ridge; “The Waiting Room,” by LaVerne Dahlman of Evanston; “Untitled,” by Mona Ghadiri of Long Grove; “An Outrageous Horror,” by Derek Newhouse of Skokie; and “Why,” by Michael Poloz of Skokie.

Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for students. Proceeds support the Oakton Performing Arts Scholarship Fund.
