Intermediate ESL students who have trouble reading English are invited
to enroll in free spring reading classes offered through Oakton Community
College's Alliance for Lifelong Learning. Classes are funded by the
Illinois Community College Board, the Office of the Secretary of State,
and the Illinois State Library.
The
purpose of these free classes is to develop reading and writing skills
for personal or employment purposes. Students may discuss their individual
goals and needs with a counselor during registration. Free reading
classes start the week of Jan. 9, 2006, and meet at various times
and locations throughout the district.

Des Plaines.
9:20 - 11:30 a.m. (morning session); 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. (afternoon
