Oakton Offers African Safari Adventure

Study and photograph the fertile habitat of Kenya on a tour offered by Oakton Community College. Trips in 2008 depart in June and July.

Begin your journey in Nairobi with a visit to the National Museum of Kenya. Stop in Boystown to learn about current social issues affecting Kenyan children. Drive through a popular gaming park on the Athi Plaines, and marvel at the sight of one million flamingos at Lake Nakuru. Tour Mount Kenya and cross the equator to the Samburu Game Reserve.

An optional balloon safari and excursion to Tanzania are available at an extra cost.

Lower cost versions of this learning vacation are available for the budget-minded traveler. Alternative trips include more modest accommodations and meal packages.
