OAKTON'S ACCLAIMED SIX PIANO ENSEMBLE ANNOUNCES SPRING CONCERTS

Experience musical magic when Oakton Community College's Six Piano Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, in the Performing Arts Center on the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. The talented pianists will perform classical, ragtime and popular pieces, including Bach's "Concerto for Two Pianos," Mozart's "Symphony No. 40 in G Minor," Scott Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag," and others.

The Six Piano Ensemble is the creation of its conductor and arranger, Skokie resident Glenna Sprague, a professor of music at Oakton. Ensemble members are Mary Gibson of Northbrook, Regina Gonu of Des Plaines, Beatriz Levi of Skokie, Tim McKnight of Evanston, Annette Partak of Wilmette, and Garfield Sallman of Des Plaines.

For more than 20 years, the Ensemble has performed to sold-out audiences at Oakton and throughout the United States and Europe. They have appeared at the Civic Opera House and Navy Pier in Chicago; the International Conference of the College Music Society in Vienna, Austria; the Music Teachers National Association National Convention in Spokane, Washington; and numerous conventions in Florida, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. On April 20, the Ensemble will be featured as part of the Cultural Event Series at Salisbury University in Maryland.

A reception with light refreshments follows each performance. Tickets at $12 each may be purchased in advance or at the door. For more information, call the Oakton Box Office at (847) 635-1900. For group discount sales, call Karol Verson at (847) 635-2185.
