Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and invite your friends to Oakton Community College's annual outdoor festival, "Music on the Grass," scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, at the Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Rd. This event is free and open to the public.

"Music on the Grass" features student and faculty soloist and ensemble musicians performing their favorite pop, rock, classical, and jazz selections. The festival will be staged on the field just off Parking Lot D. In the event of inclement weather, the festival will move indoors to the Footlik Theater.

"Music on the Grass" is sponsored by Oakton's Department of Music. For more information, call 847-635-1937.
