The largest
Midwest gathering of stock and customized Volkswagens and Audis, Treffen
2004, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 21 and 22,
in Parking Lot D at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road. Presented
by the Chicago Volkswagen Organization, events run 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
each day. General admission is $3 per car, with a portion of proceeds
to benefit the Cancer Care Foundation.

than 300 Volkswagen and Audi owners are expected to participate in
this year's two-day Treffen (German for "get together"). Saturday's
activities include the VW/Audi Autocross, with drivers competing on
a timed test track. On Sunday, participants may enjoy vendor demonstrations,
raffle drawings, food, and music, as well as the Treffen car show,
with awards presented in a variety of categories, including "best
of show." New to Treffen 2004 is the Dub Club Invitational, a competition
for VW/Audi enthusiast clubs.
