Vendors
of new or craft items are invited to participate in Oakton Community
College's Fall Bazaar, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6. This annual
event takes place at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road.
Sponsored
by the Oakton Community College Annuitants Association, the Fall Bazaar
gives vendors a chance to sell their seasonal merchandise to Oakton
students, faculty, and staff, as well as the area residents. Oakton's
convenient location and availability of free parking make the Fall
Bazaar a unique selling environment with a large and attentive audience.
Rental
vendor space is available in two sizes. Single spaces (4 feet by 6
feet) are priced at $50; double spaces (4 feet by 12 feet) cost $90.
Two chairs are provided, and a limited number of rental tables are
available at $15 each. The Fall Bazaar committee reserves the right
to select vendors that reflect the image and quality of the event
(no trademark "knock-offs" are allowed). All proceeds benefit Oakton's
Annuitants Association, serving retired College employees.
Early
registration is encouraged; vendors will be allocated space on a first-come,
