Violins Tune Up for Oakton Emeritus Program

Classical music comes alive in a new appreciation class offered through the Emeritus Program at Oakton Community College.

Great Violinists (MUS C23-61) surveys recordings by some of the world's most popular violinists, including Jascha Heifetz and his renditions of music by Mozart, Brahms, and Sarasate. Four-week course meets 10 - 11:30 a.m., Wednesdays, starting Nov. 9, at Oakton's Ray Hartstein Campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., Skokie. Course fee is $60.

Oakton's Emeritus Program offers credit and noncredit courses, lectures, seminars, and tours, while providing a chance to share learning experiences with peers age 50 and over.
