Ronald J. Thomas has been with Oakton Community College since January of 1992.  Prior to joining the Oakton faculty, he was an Assistant Professor of Hospitality Management at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.  Professor Thomas is a product of the hotel industry and has been on the opening management team of three Chicago area hotels. 
 Professor Thomas has been a Mobil Travel Guide Field Representative.  He is a member of numerous hospitality industry associations including the Hotel/Motel Association of Illinois and the Professional Association of Innkeepers International.
