Adding a Student


1) WebCT Global IDs, like network login IDs, follow this format:

(first initial)(up to first seven letters of the last name)(last four digits of your Oakstar ID*)

For example, if a student was named George Washington with Oakstar ID: B1234567, his WebCT ID would be gwashing4567.

Student passwords consist of their 6-digit birth dates (no dashes or spaces).
For example, a birth date of December 16, 1970 would create the password 121670.


2) To import students:

A. Go to Manage Course /Designer Options.

B. Click on Add Students (listed below Manage Students).

C. Scroll down to Import From Global Database.
D. Type a student's ID in the entry field.
E. Click Add.
F. Repeat Import for each student.
