Oakton Community College and the Advising and Counseling Center offers
many services to support student success.
Students who experience difficulty in a course are encouraged to talk
to their instructor. They may also find it helpful to talk to a Student
Development Counselor in the Advising and Counseling
Center.
Students whose grade point average falls below 2.0 are placed on academic
probation in accordance with Oakton's Standards of Academic Progress.
Students on probation are required to see an advisor or counselor before registering
for subsequent semesters.
Students may also want to contact the
Learning Center (formerly ISS) for tutoring
support or study skills and
learning strategies.
