Step-by-Step Instructions for Returning Students

You’re a “returning student” If you’ve taken classes at Oakton anytime in the past. The steps you’ll take to apply depend on how long it’s been since you last studied here. 

• If you’ve taken an Oakton class within the past three years, there’s no need to submit an application—simply register for class. 
• If your last class at Oakton was more than three years ago, you’ll need to submit the application for admission. However, you won’t have to pay the application fee. 
• If you’re only taking summer classes, apply as a summer-only student. 
• If you’re a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, be sure to check our services and information for veterans.
