Which Term? When registering online, you need to know which term your class is in. Here is how to tell: Fall classes have a -0 in the course code (e.g., ART C79-04). Summer classes have a -3 in the course code (e.g., ART C79-31). In addition, Fall CRN numbers begin with 6, (e.g., CRN 62081). Summer CRN numbers begin with 5 (e.g., CRN 50543). Please do not put two terms on the same registration form! e.g: Spring and Summer.
Home Projects
COPING WITH PLUMBING EMERGENCIES Fee: $150
This practical course is designed to teach homeowners basic tips on repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures. This course will cover soldering of copper pipes and installation of faucets and toilets. It will offer practical knowledge on the workings of drains and how to replace water heaters, garbage disposals, and sump pumps. Students will take trips to nearby plumbing outlets. Note that this course in NOT designed for certification in professional plumbing.

UPHOLSTERY FEE: $150
Don’t throw out your favorite, well-loved chair—learn to reupholster it. This is a hands-on course. Students will learn the fundamentals of upholstery including frame construction repair, restoration and others. Explore the types of materials used and learn to identify fabrics as well as techniques for cutting, measuring and fitting fabric and padding. Trade secrets will be shared to give your furniture a new look. Bring a small piece of furniture to work on.

BOTANICAL DRAWING Fee: $349
Strong drawing is the cornerstone of botanical art. This course covers the fundamentals of proportion, line, tone, dimensionality, and expression. We will work in pencil from live specimens, flowers, seeds, and fruit to learn to draw plants accurately and beautifully. No senior discount.

WINTER PHOTOGRAPHY Fee: $187
Winter is one of the best times to photograph gardens and nature. Learning to see the “bones” of a garden will improve your photographic skills in any season. Learn about the adjustments necessary for winter photography in terms of exposure, lighting, color, and good composition. Tripods are recommended, but not mandatory. This class provides a comprehensive program of dog-friendly and owner-friendly instruction for obedience exercises, hand signals, games, tricks and effective solutions for problem behaviors. PRACTICAL PUPPY TRAINING Fee: $90
This program is designed to educate new puppy owners in the optimum development of the puppies, the correction of existing problems, and the prevention of future problem behaviors.
