Use these steps as
you identify your target sites and resources, and keep using them while
you are conducting your job search
- Visit the large
recruiting and job-listing databases first. The number of positions,
the variety of occupations and fields, and the keyword-searchable indexes
make it very easy for you to search these databases fast and effectively.
- Move on to the
smaller, more exclusive recruiting and job-listing services. Identify
those that have listings for your occupation and discipline, and bookmark
them.

Note: if you are using a lab computer you will need to save bookmarks
on a diskette.
- Use the indexers
and search engines to begin locating resources specific to your occupation
and field. Use these sites to locate specific organizations and companies
to contact and to look for even smaller, more exclusive collections
of job listings.
