Men's Baseball

Under seasoned community college coach Bill Fratto, the Raiders have built a winning tradition and gained national prominence. With Fratto’s guidance, dozens of players have been named all-conference and all-region selection and advanced to compete at NCAA Division I, II and III institutions. In 2010, the Raiders recorded a 42-win season and advanced to the NJCAA Region IV Championships.

In the latest NJCAA Division II Top 20 National Baseball Poll released on March 13, the Raiders rank No.15, up three spots from last week’s standings.
The Raiders begin the 2013 season undefeated (4-0) by sweeping two doubleheaders played at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

Oakton sophomore right-hand pitcher Kenny Lowden (South Elgin) recently committed to attend Elgin’s Judson University.
Sophomore infielder Brett Synek (Glenbrook North) recently committed to attend Evansville University.
