Women’s Soccer

Under head coach Steve Brody, the Raiders continue to make strides each season. In 2010, the Raiders notched a 10-6-1 campaign and placed four players on the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference All-Conference First Team. Goalkeeper Ruby Martinez was one of the best netminders in the nation with her 0.55 goals against average.


End of the Road
College of Lake County ended Oakton’s season as the Lancers defeated Oakton on penalty kicks in the semifinals of the NJCAA Region IV Division I Tournament on November 4. Freshman center Judith Flores (York)led Oakton with 30 points (12 goals, 6 assists) on the season.
Winning Ways
Oakton posted a 3-2 road victory over Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference foe College of Lake County on October 8. In the team’s third-straight win, sophomore defender Berina Gradjan (Niles North) netted two goals, including the game winner.

Back on Track
Oakton is the winner of its last two matches. On October 1, the College posted a 2-0 shutout on the road against Morton College and on September 27, the team secured a 2-1 home win over South Suburban College.
Looking to Rebound
Oakton looks to end a two-game losing streak when it hosts South Suburban College at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 27.
