Oakton's women's tennis program participates in thecompetitive Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference during the fall. Players annuallyhave the opportunity to compete in tournaments at the regional and nationallevels. For the 2011 season, former Oakton men's top tennis player Dave Ptakbegan his first year as head coach. Ptak, named the Skyway Conference Player ofthe Year in 2005 and 2006, holds the distinction of going 19-0 in singles playduring the 2005 season.
