If the last one sounds like you, no need to worry.  Oakton’s Career Services Office is here to help.  Career Services offers a variety of resources that can put you on a path to professional success. Whether you are deciding on a major, mulling over a career choice, or considering a change in your career track, it’s a good idea to tap into the expertise and in-depth knowledge of the Career Services staff.

Here’s what we have to offer:

  • Individualized job search coaching sessions.
  • Assistance with writing an effective resume.
  • Help with interviewing strategies and techniques.
  • FREE workshops.

 Career Services also maintains a database of on- and off-campus job listings and offers a myriad of resources on its Web site at

 To meet with a  career counselor, you must make an appointments (walk-ins are not accommodated).

Career Counseling services are free to current students.  Non-students/alumni living outside District 535 will be charged $35 per session to meet with a career counselor.
