Placement Test Preparation

The Learning Center has put together packets and presentations to prepare you for the placement tests. These packets are not meant to teach you the concepts, but are to serve as a review. Remember that you cannot fail the placement test, your chances for success in math, English and writing classes are best when the tests reflect your comfortable level of knowledge.

If you have difficulty accessing the content in these files, please visit the Learning Center on either the Skokie or Des Plaines campus.

This packet gives information on the structure of the reading placement test and offers a few sample readings and questions.
