Alumni Giving

Central to everything the Office of Alumni Relations undertakes are three strategic priorities: fostering student success, making an impact in the lives of alumni, and positioning the College for future success. By making a gift to Oakton, you allow us to continue enhancing the educational opportunities for future generations of alumni.

ONLINE GIVING is the easiest and most efficient way of supporting Oakton students. When giving, you may designate your gift to a variety of funds and scholarships:

  • General Fund
The Oakton Annual Fund is a consistent source of unrestricted funding for the key priorities that realize the College’s mission and it impacts every aspect of the Oakton experience.

  • Alumni Association Scholarships
Created by Oakton’s Alumni Association, this scholarship supports full- or part-time students with a strong academic background and a proven track record of providing exceptional service to the community.

  • Emerging Leaders Program Endowment
Created by Oakton alumna and Trustee Theresa Bashiri-Remetio, this fund will provide perpetual funding for the Emerging Leaders Program and support Oakton’s aspiring leaders.

For a complete list of scholarships, including those for Oakton graduates, please visit the Educational Foundation Scholarships Web page.

To make a gift over the phone, contact the Educational Foundation at 847.635.1893. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. The Foundation also accepts cash, checks, and money orders. Checks should be made payable to the Oakton Community College Educational Foundation and mailed to 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines, Illinois, 60016.

Not many people have the opportunity to perform with Academy Award winners. Former acting student Bud Jones did.
