Oakton Educational Foundation Seeks Donations for Original Artwork

(Sept. 7, 2018) The Oakton Educational Foundation invites local artists—including exhibiting artists, faculty and students—to donate original artwork for the “Oakton’s Finest: Art for Education’s Sake” auction Friday, Oct. 12, to benefit Oakton Community College students.

“The event provides artists the opportunity to expose their work to a large audience in the Oakton community while supporting the college’s mission of student success,” says Alyse Burman, event chair and member of the Oakton Educational Foundation Board of Directors.

Artwork can be something previously created or something made exclusively for the juried art auction. All media are accepted. All donated pieces must be submitted with completed form, which can be found online at www.oakton.edu/giving.

Items not selected by the jury or sold at the auction will be returned to the donor. All submissions are considered a donation to the Oakton Community College Educational Foundation, and all proceeds from the sale of donated art go toward the Oakton Annual Fund.

Deadline for submission is Friday, Sept. 28. Artwork must be dropped off by appointment at Oakton’s Koehnline Museum of Art, 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines. Call 847-635-1633 to arrange a date and time for drop-off.
